Here’s what all of those colors mean:

Yellow:

Yellow represents the hope of heaven that every Christian has.

NIV John 14:1-3 "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.”

Jesus is preparing a home in heaven for every person who puts their faith in him. This is something we can count on.

Black:

Black represents the fact that all of us are sinners. Here’s what the Bible says:

NIV Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

You see, all of us have broken God’s commandments. We have all lied, taken something that didn’t belong to us, lusted in our hearts, taken God’s name in vain, etc. This is mankind’s greatest problem.

Red:

Red represents the blood of Christ, which was shed for our sins.

NIV Hebrews 9:22 In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.

Jesus went to the cross, shed his blood and died to take our place. He never sinned, but he died to take our punishment so we wouldn’t have to be punished.

White:

White represents the cleansing we will receive when we repent of our sins and turn to Christ by faith.

NIV 1 John 1:7 … and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

Jesus can make us clean and give us a new start in life.

Green:

Green represents growth. God wants all of us to grow spiritually.

NIV 2 Peter 3:18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.

We will grow in Christ when we get involved in a church that teaches the Bible, encourages us in our walk with the Lord, and helps us find ways to serve God and our fellow man.

Would you like to commit your life to Christ?

If you are ready to repent of your sin and turn to Christ, you can by praying the following prayer:

“Lord Jesus, I know I have broken your commandments and deserve to be punished for my sins. Please forgive me of my sins and please come into my life and make me a real Christian. I want to be your follower from now on. Thank you for hearing and answering my prayers. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen”

If you just prayed that prayer or if you would like more information on how to become a Christian, please come to see us at Brown Road Baptist Church or send us an e-mail at a-lcoffey@msn.com. We look forward to hearing from you or meeting you.
